On 20 September 2019, the Circular Plastics Alliance presented and adopted its declaration in Brussels.
The declaration describes the alliance's vision for more recycled plastics in Europe, as well as their commitments for action to reach the EU target to incorporate 10 million tonnes of recycled plastics into products in the EU annually by 2025.
ECP4, together with more than 100 organizations, has signed this voluntary commitment in order to support the EU Commission and achieve the goals of the EU Plastic Strategy.
ECP4 has already outlined the Research and Innovation actions needed to achieve some of these goals in the report “Plastics Strategy Research and Innovation Agenda in a Circular Economy” and is willing to continue to play a supportive role with our involvement in the Circular Plastic Alliance.
